Willem Barentsz is pleased to be supporting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ‘Diamonds are Forever’ Gala held at the iconic Stoke Park.
This spectacular event on 9th June 2016 will raise funds to support the DofE Charity’s Diamond Ambition to inspire and empower young people from diverse communities across the UK.
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh instigated the Award 60 years ago from a belief in the power of ‘doing’ to shape lives. Over the next five years, the DofE will directly impact 2 million 14 -25 year olds, ‘hard-coding’ a sense of self-purpose, self-confidence, responsibility and resilience: young people from all backgrounds who are work-ready, well-rounded and ambitious – with the skills that businesses and society needs.
DofE see their role in helping to shape ‘diamonds in the rough’, providing young people with the opportunities to discover the many facets of their talents and to be truly brilliant. The Diamond Fund was created for the Diamond Anniversary to support their next five years of growth.
