You may recall that just this last summer, Barentsz Gin was awarded Gold in the 50th anniversary year of the International Wine & Spirit Competition. The International Wine & Spirit Competition sets the international benchmark for quality. For half a century the IWSC has been recognising and rewarding the very best wines and spirits in the world.
With over 400 global experts judging the awards for seven months of the year, we are pleased to announce that in this very special year for the competition Barentsz Gin has been awarded Gold in the Contemporary Styles category. Our victorious gin will be presented for tasting at the prestigious IWSC Awards Banquet, held at the historic Guildhall in London – an event often described as ‘the Oscars of the wine and spirits industry’.
What is it about our Gin that merited such a prestigious award, you ask. Well, in the words of our founder, Michael Claessens:
“…marrying the two grains of Golden Rye and Winter Wheat created a spirit that was smoother than either one on its own. The creamy texture of the Rye gives a longer, rounded finish. Wheat adds complexity and brings out sweeter notes, which compliment the orange peel and our signature Exotic Jasmine Flowers”
You see the pioneering spirit of our namesake, Willem Barentsz, has been forged throughout our speciality crafted premium gin. This is probably why only the top venues throughout London choose our gin for their cocktails.
Just this past month, The Goring, featured The Voyager Cocktail and The Garden Negroni. The latter comes fitted with a Goring embossed ice cube for absolute class.
